Cobalt Project Manager features a powerful project scheduling engine with an interactive Gantt-chart interface. Build detailed project schedules, assign resources to tasks, set your baseline, and track progress through completion.
The drag-and-drop Gantt chart makes it easy to move tasks around. It is easy to enter in task information right into the grid or using the task card area at the bottom of the screen.
The team member views provide your team with a list of tasks they are assigned to across all of the projects so they can provide status in one place.
Team members can enter in their percent complete amount or mark tasks as complete and the tasks will be automatically updated in the project schedule.
Comments can also be left by team members so that they can communicate task status to the project manager.
The project list view includes a multi-project gantt chart which allows you to visualize the status of many projects in a graphical view.
This view can be grouped by project manager, type, phase, and also you can create custom hierarchy for grouping the projects into individual portfolios.
The calendar shows tasks that are assigned in a familiar monthly or weekly view, and can be filtered by project and resource to allow insight in to current workloads. Easily see which tasks are coming up in a familiar calendar layout.
Each team member also has their own “My Calendar” view where they can track their assigned tasks on a monthly calendar.
The executive dashboard provides users with an overview of the projects and tasks that they are currently working on or assigned to. It is a convenient executive view of many projects in one place.
The dashboard offers several reports to choose from including incomplete tasks, milestone status, outstanding issues and others.
You can enter the information about all of the resources working on your projects. Assign resources to project schedule tasks and manage their workload allocation. Get resource status updates of progress on assigned work.
The resource allocation view shows you where resources are overallocated or have availability for those tasks you need to assign.
Each resource can have their own custom workweek specification and holiday / working day exceptions and the tasks will be scheduled accordingly.
Have your project team members fill in their hours worked on tasks into the timesheet so you can track their progress.
Timesheet hours appear right in the project schedule for easy update of task information.
Instead of sending documents back and forth via email, you can upload project documents into Cobalt and store them in a central location so that all project members can access them. Documents can be linked to scheduled task items.
You can upload documents and store them in your account or use Google Drive to attach documents stored on Google’s servers.
The built-in reporting feature allows you to view data across multiple projects.
Over 35 reports are included and the report editor allows custom reports to be built.
Reports can be exported to Excel/CSV or printed to PDF files.
